Schaefer Technologie, based in Langen near Frankfurt, specializes in the distribution and customer service of scientific equipment for academic and industrial laboratories.
To expand our sales activities in Germany and Austria, we currently have a vacancy for a Sales Engineer. Your customers are academic, industrial and service laboratories and research centers based in Germany and Austria.
How do we see you?
- You build up and maintain a strong and sustainable customer network.
- You actively visit existing and potential customers.
- You will cover a wide range of industries throughout the sales territory.
- Together with the service and marketing teams, you will also be responsible for organizing demonstrations and training sessions at customers’ premises, online or at trade fairs.
- You take responsibility for achieving the team targets in the respective product area.
- Together with the customer, you will identify their needs and offer appropriate solutions.
Who are we looking for?
To be successful, you speak the language of the laboratory. Knowledge of material characterization in particular is an advantage. We are looking for someone who thinks in terms of solutions, is customer-oriented and has the necessary analytical, chemical or physical knowledge. In addition, you have the natural ability to network, occasionally do pioneering work and have the courage to try something new.
- You have a Master’s degree in a science-related field (or equivalent through experience).
- You have an affinity for chemistry and/or physics, experience with electron microscopy is an advantage.
- Initial relevant sales experience is an advantage.
- You think in terms of solutions and are customer-oriented.
- You have a natural ability to network and a healthy dose of courage.
- You are eager to learn, responsible and can work independently.
- You are down-to-earth and work in a collegial manner.
- Your character traits are strongly entrepreneurial and results-oriented.
- You have good communication and social skills.
- You speak and write fluent German and your English language skills are also at a high level (C1).
