PanScan Cryogen-Free LT System

RHK Technology’s PanScan SPM scan head is proven for integration in low temperature systems down to mK and in high magnetic fields. The system is available as a scan head only, scan head on flange, scan head on subsystem and scan head on full system.

PanScan Freedom is a turnkey system package for cryogen-free, ultra-low noise solution STM, and qPlus AFM operation at low temperatures (7 K). This groundbreaking system eliminates the need for liquid helium, providing continuous, uninterrupted performance while achieving atomic resolution imaging and high-quality STS data. It uses a standard multi-contact flag-style sample holder and provides a stable operating range from 7 K to 400 K, delivering exceptional results across a wide range of SPM research. Compact, cost-effective and easy to use, enables researchers to push the boundaries of scientific discovery.

PanScan Freedom’s optional features include integrated
in-situ superconducting magnets for magnetic field applications, and an external spectrometer interface with 70% light collection efficiency for cathodo luminescence (CL), photoluminescence (PL), STM light emission (STM-LE) and Raman spectroscopy, with an upgrade path for TERS. It also provides precise probe positioning over features as small as 2 μm.
